GARY GRIBBLE’S SAUCONY XC CLASSIC

The 2013 GARY GRIBBLE’S SAUCONY XC CLASSIC will be held on Saturday, October 5th at the Baldwin City Golf Course.  

This is an early meet, the bus will be leaving at 7:15am. Due to the early nature of this meet, please do not drop off your athlete earlier than 7:00am, as there will be no adult supervision.

This is a slightly different meet for eighth graders because instead of running two miles, they will only be running one mile!  

Below is the running schedule - please note that it is slightly different from other meets in order.

8:30 -7th Grade Girls 1 mile

8:45 -8th Grade Girls 1 mile

9:00 -7th Grade Boys 1 mile

9:15 -8th Grade Boys 1 mile

All race times are approximate!  

The top TEN runners in each age/gender race will get medals in the chute.

PRMS Meet - Wednesday, October 2nd

We will be running at Celebration Park for the PRMS meet on Wednesday.  The course routes will be the same (start and finish lines may be slightly adjusted) as our first race at Celebration Park.

Below are the race times:

Time Schedule:

7th grade girls – 4:00 p.m. (1 mile)

7th grade boys ~4:15 p.m. (1 mile)

8th grade girls ~4:35 p.m. (2 miles)

8th grade boys ~4:55 p.m. (2 miles)

RACE TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE

Medals will be given in the chute, but we're not sure how many medals are being given out per race.

OTTAWA MEET UPDATE!

Due to the weather, our meet for today has been cancelled!  Enjoy your weekend and we will see you on Monday!!

We will be running at Ottawa on Saturday, the bus will be leaving at 9:30, and supervision will start at WMS at 9:00!  Below is the race/parking information.  If you are looking for directions, please click on the day of the meet and click on map, you can even get driving directions this way if you have a smart phone! 

The Ottawa Middle School Cross Country Meet is Saturday, September 28th at the high school’s course located on Eisenhower Rd. just south (1/2 mile ) of I-35.  Just keep going on the gravel road straight south till you see the course on the left.  Parking is available on Eisenhower Rd west of the course and Kingman Rd. north of the course.  Buses should park south of the hill on Eisenhower Rd.  There will be directional signs.

PLEASE AVOID THE QUARRY ON THE EAST SIDE!!!!!

7th Grade Girls is at 11:00
7th Grade Boys is at 11:20
8th Grade Girls is at 11:40
8th Grade Boys is at 12:05

Medals will be awarded at the finish line to the top 15 in each division. 

There will be six teams running.

Robert Clark Invitational - Saturday, September 21st

Robert Clark Meet - Saturday, September 21^st!

The bus will be departing at 11:00 on Saturday!  Any athlete who wishes to participate at the meet must be on the bus.  There will be no adult supervision until 10:30, so please do not arrive earlier/drop off athletes than 10:30!

·       Please park in the large open lot across the street.  It is on the right as you turn onto 126^th.  

RACE DAY SHIRTS

·       T-Shirts: There will be a vendor on the site making shirts for $15 for a cotton blend, or $20 for  tech t-shirt.  The purchaser will be able to choose what color and what material they want and the shirt is made on the spot.  The shirt will have all the teams listed on the back as well which kids love, so please let your runners and their parents know so they can come prepared if they want to buy one. 

Cash, check and Credit Cards will be accepted.

Wellsville Invitational Information

Our second meet of the season is this Thursday, September 19th in Wellsville!

Below is information about the meet for you! If you aren't sure where the course is located, you can click on the link in the calendar at the top of the blog that says map, and it will show you :)


Fan parking will be very limited.  Parking for fans will be will be available in the parking lot south of the new elementary school after 3:30 pm.  The easiest parking will be located in the student parking area north of the high school.  You will then need to walk north to 4th street, west to the end of 4th street,  then north through the gates to the running area.  Restroom facilities are located at the school.  Please be aware of the no parking signs on 4th street.

TIME SCHEDULE:    

7th Girls   4:00 PM    (1 Mile)

7th Boys   4:10 PM    (1 Mile)

8th Boys & Girls   4:20 PM   (2 Miles)

Race times are approximate.  Top 15 places in each age/gender division will medal and medals will be given at the chute.

Bus time for tomorrow!

The bus will be departing from Wheatridge Middle School at 9:00am tomorrow morning! 

ALL students need to be present on the bus to run at the meet. 

Adult supervision at Wheatridge will begin at 8:30 - PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF YOU STUDENTS/ARRIVE EARLIER THAN 8:30 - there will be NO ADULT supervision and we want everyone to stay safe!  :)

Meet this Saturday!

We’re so excited that our FIRST MEET

(which is also our HOME MEET)

is THIS SATURDAY!

 

We’re going to be running at Celebration Park, and although it is close to many of your homes, all athletes who wish to run in the meet MUST RIDE THE BUS FROM WHEATRIDGE TO CELEBRATION PARK.  Students who show up to Celebration Park with their parents and DID NOT ride the bus WILL NOT be allowed to participate.  We realize this seems bizarre, but it’s the rule, and we have to stick to it! 

 

If an athlete is done and they want to leave, they MUST check out with either Mrs. Roberts or Ms. Gailliez.  This helps us make sure all athletes are accounted for when leaving a meet.   Athletes are only allowed to leave a meet with THEIR PARENT; no other adult may take an athlete from a meet!  If you wish for somebody else to pick up your child, they must pick them up from Wheatridge after we’ve returned from the meet. 

 

7^th grade will be running 1 mile and 8^th grade will run 2 miles.  The finish line for both races will be at/near the same location, (North end of front loop on race map) and the start positions will be in basic same spot but will head different directions.  Please see next post with the race maps.

This will be done at finish line, there is no medal ceremony.
