Press Release 4.16.19

The Wheatridge Mustangs traveled to Eudora for their third meet of the season.


The seventh grade girls team took third place with 29 points.  McKenzie Sullivan
was an event winner in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 18.29.  Second place
finishers were Ty’Lir Davis in the 200m dash, Hannah Phipps in the 400m dash,
the 4x200 Relay (Hutchinson, Maginness, Manka, Page), the 4x400 Relay (Cabral,
Page, Ray, Kuzma), the Sprint Medley (Lowe, Sanders, Davis, Phipps), and
Brecklynn Lowe in the High Jump.  Third place finishers were Ty’Lir Davis in the
100m dash and Aaliyah Green in the Discus. Fourth place finishers were Ashley
Sanders in the 100m Hurdles and Aaliyah Green in the Shot Put.


The eighth grade girls team took second place overall with 44 points.  Event
winners were Makenna Bartels in the 400m dash with a time of 1:03.49, Hannah
Elliott in both the 1600m run (6:26.12) and the 3200m run (13:36), the 4x100
Relay (Leiker, DeFrancesco, Dye, Claycamp), and Natalie Yarbrough in the
100m Hurdles with a time of 18.59.  Second place finishers were Natalie
Claycamp in the 100m Hurdles, the Sprint Medley (Leiker, Yarbrough, Claycamp,
Bartels ), the 4x200 (Hilliard, DeFrancesco, Dye, Bell), and Natalie Yarbrough in
the Pole Vault. Third place finishers were Natalie Claycamp in the 200m dash
and Kassidy Dye in the High Jump.  Fourth place finishers were Alexis Hilliard
in the High Jump, Makenna Bartels in the Pole Vault, and Jessica Souvannakhot
in the Discus.


The eighth grade boys team tied for second place with 35 points.  First place
finishers were Jason Leyritana in the 100m dash with a time of 13.25 and
Pierson Carlisle in the Pole vault  with a jump of 9’. Second place finishers
were Gage Graham in the 3200m run, Cooper Nichols in the 200m, the 4x100
Relay (Pascarelli, Leyritana, Nichols, Carlisle), the 4x400 Relay (Schranz, Elsey,
Henson, Griffin), and Jason Leyritana in the long jump,  Third place finishers
were Chance Henson in the 400m dash, and Gage Graham in the 800m run.
Fourth place finishers were Lucas Long in the 100m dash, Leo Schranz in the
1600m run, Nick Lopeman in the shot put, and Dante Njoroge in the 3200m run.


The seventh grade boys team took second overall with 50 points. Event winners
were Mason Shoemaker in the 100m dash with a time of 13.35, Chase Moreland
in the 400m dash with a time of 1:05.42,  Serge Otainkouya in the shot put with
a throw of 34’5”, the 4x400m Relay (Reyes, Utter, Suber-Mcdonald, Moreland)
with a time of 4:35.32, and the Sprint Medley Relay (Gilmore, Porter, Porter,
Kodger) with a time of 2:02.76. Second place finishers were Cameron Porter in
the 800m run, Spencer Easley in the shot put, Serge Otainkouya in the discus
throw, and the 4x200m Relay (Suber-Mcdonald, Easley, Gilmore, Kindler). Third
place finishers were Jai’den Suber-Mcdonald in the 200m dash, Adrian Reyes
in the 400m dash,  Eithan Kodger in the 1600m run, Jai’den SuberMcdonald
and Eithan Kodger tied for 3rd in the 100m hurdles. Fourth place finishers were
Cameron Porter in the 100m dash, Elijah Porter in the 800m run, Kaden Smith
in the high jump, and Eithan Kodger in the long jump


The Mustangs are looking forward to competing in their fourth meet of the
season on Tuesday, April 23rd at Wheatridge.
