The Wheatridge Mustangs traveled to Eudora for their third meet of the season.


The eighth grade girls’ team took second overall with 50 points.  Event winners
were Abri Leiker in the Long Jump with a distance of 14’2” and in the 100m dash
with a time of 13.71, Hannah Elliott in the 3200m run with a time of 12:54 and the
1600m run with a time of 6:15, Makenna Bartels in the 400m run with a time of
1:02.45, and the Sprint Relay (Leiker, Yarbrough, Clayclamp, Bartels) with a time
of 2:06.17.  Second place finishers were Kylee DeFrancesco in the Long Jump,
Kassidy Dye in the High Jump, the 4x100 relay (Leiker, DeFrancesco, Dye,
Clayclamp), the 4x200 relay (Hilliard, Williams, Dye, Bell), Avery Bell in the 800m
run, and Natalie Claycamp in the 200m dash. Fourth place finishers were Alexis
Hilliard in the Long Jump, Natalie Yarbrough in the 100m Hurdles, and Jessica
Souvannakhot in the Shot Put.


The seventh grade girls’ team took second place with a score of 37 points.  Event
winners were McKenzie Sullivan in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 18.63, the
4x200 relay (Hutchinson, Maginness, Ficken, Page) with a time of 2:15.65, and
Aaliyah Green in the Discus with a distance of 64’4”.  Second place finishers
were Ashley Sanders in the 100m Hurdles, Ty’Lir Davis in the 100m dash, the
4x100 relay (Sanders, Sullivan, Ray, Ficken), and the Sprint Relay (Lowe,
Sanders, Davis, Phipps). Third place finishers were Brecklynn Lowe in the High
Jump, Ellie Parks in the 400m run, and Aaliyah Green in the Shot Put. Fourth
place finishers were Hannah Phipps in the 100m Hurdles and the 400m run,
McKenzie Sullivan in the 100m dash, and Logan Ray in the 200m dash.


The eighth grade boys team took first place overall with 63 points.  First place
finishers were Malaki Taylor in the long jump with a jump of 14’6”, Cooper
Nichols in the high jump with a jump of 5’0”, Lucas Long in the 100m Hurdles
with a time of 19.40, Leo Schranz in the 1600m run with a time of 5:38.75, Kyler
Leadbetter in the 400m dash with a time of 1:02.16, Gage Graham in the 800m
run with a time of 2:33.81, and the 4x400 Relay (Graham, Schranz, Griffith,
Henson).  Second place finishers Gage Graham in the 3200m run, the 4x100
Relay (Nichols, Leyritana, Pascarelli, Carlisle), and the 4x200 Relay (Taylor,
Venevongsoth, Lomas, Long). Third place finishers were Nick Lopeman in the
shot put, Miguel Mendoza in the discus throw, Jason Leyritana in the long jump
and the 200m dash, Jackson Elsey in the 3200m run, Chance Henson in the
400m dash, and Leo Schranz in the 800m run. Fourth place finishers were
David Taylor in the shot put, Dante Njoroge in the 3200m run, Cooper Nichols
in the 200m dash and Chance Henson in the 1600m run.

The seventh grade boys team took second overall with 60 points. Event winners
were Serge Otainkouya in the shot put with a throw of 31’11” and in the discus
with a throw of 76’7, Jai’den Suber in the 100m hurdles with a time of 18.57, the
4x200 Relay (Suber, Easley, Gilmore, Kindler) with 1:57.56, the Sprint Medley
elay (Gilmore, Porter, Porter, Kodger) with 2:03.38, the 4x400 Relay (Reyes,
Suber, Utter, Moreland).  Second place finishers were Spencer Easley in the shot
put, Eithan Kodger in the 100m hurdles, Cameron Porter in the 100m dash,
Eithan Kodger in the 1600m run, Dawson Kindler in the 400m dash, Cameron
Porter in the 800m run, and the 4x100 Relay (Easley, Porter, Porter, Kindler).
Third place finishers were Elijah Porter in the 100m dash, Chase Moreland in the
400m dash, and Jai’den Suber in the 200m dash. Fourth place finishers were
Eithan Kodger in the boys long jump, Jace Blum in the 100m hurdles, and Nick
Utter in the 800m run.


The Mustangs are looking forward to competing in their sixth meet of the season
on Tuesday, April 30th at the Spring Hill Invitational!
